Break In
Before You Buy! (Please Read)
- MULTIPLE GLOVE ORDERS! (For orders with more than one glove, please write a description of your glove in the instructions box to allow us to identify which service is for which glove. (Brand, Model or Web, and Color))
- NO VINTAGE GLOVES! (Once leather reaches a certain age it's strength and flexibility drastically decreases. This makes the refresh process more difficult and time consuming while also increases the risk of tears and cracks. For this reason we no longer work on gloves older than 30 years old.) For referrals please reach out and we can recommend relacers that specialize in this area.
- NO T-BALL GLOVES - We don't recommend sending in T-Ball gloves or gloves that are cheaper than the cost of the service.

Glove Break-In Service
Our break in service is designed to get your glove game ready fast!
Using safe technics we tailor a personalized break in that fits your style and preferences.
The more information you can include about the preferred fit and feel, the more personalized we can make it.
Process Overview:
- Conditioning: We begin by conditioning with premium products, ensuring your glove is soft, supple, and ready for the break-in process.
- Glove Smasher Treatment: (1,000 lb. force!) Our pneumatic glove press is designed to safely and accurately press the hinge points of you glove until they naturally loosen. This results in fast and safe break in that doesn't require heat or dangerous chemicals.
- Shaping by Experts: Our skilled technicians use a combination of hands-on techniques and weighted balls to shape your glove to perfection. This step ensures that the glove molds comfortably to your hand and playing preferences.
- Japanese Water Method: When safe to do so we will wet the glove before the process. Some lace colors can have a chance of bleeding when wet (mainly red), so we know to avoid those. But for most other colors that don't bleed... The results are unbelievable. This method allows for unmatched forming and shaping possibilities to reach the desired close and feel. (Safely tested on hundreds of gloves)
Break-In Guarantee:
There is no true definition of broken in considering gloves will continue to break down as long as you use them. What we guarantee is that your glove will be soft enough to easily catch a ball, and have the proper shape and break points. This will allow you to get your glove game ready in a few hours or days vs months of work on your own.
Shape and Feel Description:
Rolled- Fingers turned in at top which gives the glove more of a shorter bowl shape. Commonly preferred by infielders and pitchers.
Flared- Fingers turned out at the top which gives the glove a longer feel. Commonly preferred by outfielders. Makes snow cones and scooping in taller grass easier.
Hybrid- It is also common to see the pinky and thumb to have different shapes like flared thumb and rolled fingers. This fits the natural shape of your hand and can make the glove feel easier to close.
Wide- Pinky and thumb are stretched apart giving the glove a shallow pocket to make transfers quicker.
Deep- Fingers and web will be pulled back to try and deepen the pocket. This will give the ball a more secure feel in the glove.
Floppy- We will work the entire glove to try and make it feel a soft as possible. Common for slow pitch and youth.
Formed- We will focus mostly on the hinge points and leave the palm and fingers and little stiffer. This is commonly preferred for higher levels of play that have faster ball speeds.
